Prohibition of horsemeat. There are a country which eats horsemeat, and a country which doesn’t eat.Japan,France,Belgium,Australia…These countries accept horsemeat.
America,Ireland,Israel…These countries don’t accept horsemeat. Why is this difference produced? We give two examples. Japan an America. Now people in Japan sometimes eat horsemeat . Horsemeat has been eaten from more than 400 years ago in some rural areas.（Basashi,Sakuranabe…）Thus, horsemeat has been eaten in Japan for many years. But most horsemeat is from Canada or the United States. On the other hand, Americans do not eat horsemeat. In 2006 a bill to ban the killing of horses for the purpose of human consumption is introduced by the request from an animal protection organization.
